This palm-sized bronze bell is a magical signal device. As an action, you can ring it to produce a clear tone audible out to 1 mile. The tone can be heard normally through rain, fog, and nonmagical darkness, though it cannot be heard through a magical silence effect. Once rung, the bell cannot be used again until the next dawn. When you ring it, you can designate any number of creatures within 30 feet who can hear the bell; those creatures know your direction until the end of your next turn. In addition, while carrying the bell, you have advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks made to locate a creature that is calling for help or signaling your party. The bell has no effect on undead creatures and does not compel obedience.
